Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into an ethnically diverse family from South London. She has a mother who is English while her father is Nigerian. She grew on a South London council estate and when she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She was a student at an academy called the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned an acting BA. During her time at the school, she was a part-time actor in a number of stage productions, including the King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career by starring in a movie titled Storm Damage. She has appeared as a guest in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut came from that of the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Then, she was the lead in Elisha on the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie in the six episodes of Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi who was the leading character on ITV2's drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe appeared in the comedic How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). Her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009, with her drama The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes prior to being ended on The CW. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. The departure of Madekwe from the show was announced in May 2013. After two years as a main character, she appeared as a guest in the very first episode of season three. Between 2014 and the year 2016, she appeared on Salem in the role of Tituba. Her long-time friend, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. The two have collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl, and he was also on the show with Madekwe on the TV show Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress is a member of a huge family from Hamilton, Ontario. Her parents, Roy and Patty along with her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram and Bram, were present. The four brothers of Ashley, all very athletic, played hockey during the winters and baseball in the summers, meaning they grew up mostly in parks and arenas. Ashley was never able to walk, however she did dance. At the age of two, she started Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley fell in love with dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley was a competitive dancer across all major divisions up until her graduation from high school. She competed in ballet, jazz, tap and pointe, as well as Acrobatics. She also won top soloists awards in all major dance contests, like the International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
